at the Oasis, a Christian Spiritual Retreat for Women.

From midday Friday May 23 – midday Sunday May 25.

This spiritual retreat will provide a space to reflect, contemplate and connect with God and other Christian Women.

Over the three days, we will take time to sit in His presence; hear God speak through various spiritual practices and worship Him through song, time in nature, quiet reflection and movement.  You will have the opportunity to meet other Christian women who will walk this part of your faith journey with you.  We will have times of rest and times of fun, times of eating joyful meals together and times to sit quietly and drink in His goodness.

The spiritual practices we will engage in will draw you closer to the Father’s heart, help you hear his voice through His Word, inspire your faith through the Holy Spirit engaging your imagination, hear what God is speaking to the group and how that relates to you.

Our retreat will be held at Kanigan Mountain Retreat, which is located 1 hour north of Noosa and Nambour on a beautiful mountain range overlooking the Mary River plains. This accommodation is steeped in years of prayer and contemplation.

As you stand on the mountain and look out over the vista, hand in hand with the Lord, it will allow your life to come into perspective.

Your hosts are Gretchen Mitchell and Nicky Wyborn. Gretchen is a Christian Psychologist who has been in private practice for 22 years. She especially enjoys the intersection of faith and psychology and loves to see full healing when both are applied. She is passionate about making room for Jesus to speak directly to women’s hearts and is excited about this opportunity to walk with you into healing and transformation through the power of God’s love. Nicky has a deep passion for guiding women on their spiritual journeys. She loves providing spaces where they can experience healing and transformation through reconnecting with the heart of God and finding strength and peace in Christ.

We will also be joined by the beautiful Jemima Jones who will be causing our tastebuds to sing with her delicious meals. Jemima has a real gift from God to feed and nurture both bodies and hearts and is a wise, thoughtful and compassionate woman of God.

The weekend will be bathed in prayer and Gretchen and Nicky are delighted to walk with you as we respond to Jesus’ invitation to come to Him, the Oasis, to receive refreshing for our souls and to nurture our relationship with Him. Gretchen and Nicky have enjoyed crafting special times for women to come aside and spend time hearing from the Lord over the past few years. You are in safe hands.

 We have a number of different options for sleeping arrangements and pricing to suit all needs. You can have your own room or share with a friend. To make it more affordable (or like a sleepover) you can share a queen bed with a friend. We have one room with its own ensuite and the rest share bathroom facilities. All food and resources for the weekend are included in your registration. Payment plans are available.
